What makes our cheese special? The flavor, the health benefits, the color, the process, and much more! The milk used in our cheeses is raw. That's right- straight from the cow. And the cow eats only forage. This makes the milk a lot different from conventional milk from grain fed cows. The milk from cows that only eat grasses, forbs, legumes etc (with no grain supplementation) is a lot higher omega 3 and CLA fatty acids. The flavor profile and texture of each batch varies slightly due to its artisanal nature and the length it is aged.
We currently make 3 varieties:
River Fog- our signature creamy jack style. We like it best when it has been aged 6 to 12 months
River Jack- our jack style with organic black pepper added.
River's Fork- a cheddar style with a mellow grassiness that starts to bite with age. Usually aged 8-12 months.

Hi we are looking for a source for organic, non-gmo wheat grain for grinding into flower. My daughter who lives in C'ville thought you might be source of know of one in Virginia. We are in Isle of Wight VA. (DKArbor Nursery). We would love to stop by and try your cheese too when we are out your way.
